Announcements – Week of January 13, 2025
The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday is on Monday, January 20th. It is the only federal holiday officially designated as a national day of service. While we do have the day off from school, we are considering this a “day on” for students who would like to take an active role in improving their communities.
To honor Dr. King, we hope that you will consider gleaning with us as we collaborate with the Jewish Volunteer Center and CROS Ministries.

Congratulations to Mrs. Ferguson’s advisory who won the second quarter reading competition with 4,750 pages and 7 participants.
Congratulations to our second quarter top reader, Lucas Sanchez, who read 3,226 pages during the second quarter!
- Unless absolutely necessary for an assignment, headphones, earbuds, Air Pods, etc. are prohibited from being used by students in classrooms and on campus. Failure to comply will result in a green slip.
- Students, please store your binders, books, and belongings in your lockers in the morning and before lunch. Those belongings should not be left unattended around the Buc Café, lunch tables, or other open areas around campus. Thank you.
- Students, please remember that if you borrow a charger or laptop from Mr. Felder that it needs to be returned at the end of the day on which you borrowed the item(s). Failure to do so may result in a green slip. Also, the student who borrowed the item must return it as that student is responsible for the charger and/or laptop. Do not ask other students to return the item(s) for you.
Behavior: Remember our classroom expectations, code of conduct, Honor Code, and 12 Values. As always, please demonstrate the excellent behavior expected of Benjamin students.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to continue to learn and grow together as a kind and helpful community.
Congratulations to our leaders of the week.
